Overview :
Mplayer(Movie Player) is free & open source multimedia software in UNIX like operating system. It can play all your favorite audio and video files.
Mplayer plays most MPEG/VOB, AVI, ASF/WMA/WMV, RM, QT/MOV/MP4, Ogg/OGM, MKV, VIVO, FLI, NuppelVideo, yuv4mpeg, FILM and RoQ files, supported by many native and binary codecs. We can also watch VCD, SVCD, DVD, 3ivx, DivX 3/4/5, WMV and even H.264 movies, too.
Some of the Common Features are listed below :
Method:1 Open the terminal Type the below command
Method:2 Open the Synaptic Manager , type maplyer, select mplayer,mplayer-gui & mplayer-skins , as shown below :
Now Access the Mplayer :
Click on Mplayer Media Player
Now Play your favouitre video & audio files by importing them in Mplayer
